Svetlana Gavrilovic to represent Croatia at Miss Europe Continental world final

ZAGREB, 12 November 2019 – Model Svetlana Gavrilovic will represent Croatia at the world final of Miss Europe Continental which will be held in Italy later this month.

50 girls from all over the world will take part in the 2019 Miss Europe Continental final in Naples, Italy on November 22nd, and Miss Europe Continental Croatia is looking forward to the pageant.

“I am thrilled with the selection and the overall organisation, and I would especially like to thank Laura Leugio, who made the selection and selected me for this year’s pageant,” Svetlana said ahead of the final.

Originally from Vukovar in Croatia, Gavrilovic started modelling at the age of 17 and has worn designs from local and international designers at over 400 fashion shows throughout Croatia, including the most prestigious such as L’OREAL, Fashion Week Zagreb, Cro A Porter, FashionHr, Fashion Wardrobe, Fashion Show by Toni Brekalo, Tjedan dizajna, Sajam vjenčanja and others.

She was also the face of a number of fashion events and has featured in magazines, music videos and commercials for the likes of Mercedes Benz, Franck and many more.

“Eight years ago, I was the head of models at all schools in my hometown of Vukovar and the organiser of fashion shows for them, after which I helped the students harness their modeling career by hiring them for various magazines and pageants. So far we have worked with over 30 projects with Blanka Zakula and the Gatalinka Cultural Center,” she said.

Svetlana has also worked with leading photographers in the Croatian fashion scene like Kristijan Antolovic, Marin Filipovic Marinshe, Igor Dugandzic and Mark Dzavic, as well as fashion designers such as Avara Figlia, Henrietta Ludgate, Ana Kujundzic, Aleksandra Dada Jovanovic, Toni Brekalo, Monika Hrsak and Zoran Mrvoš.

Since 2013, the year in which the Miss Europe Continental pageant debuted with its first edition, the competition has the ambitious goal of enhancing the feminine charm through the culture and history of the various countries participating supported by the talented Italian designers whose creations enrich the catwalk.
