Summer In The City

With temperatures soaring into the high 30’s in Croatia, the place to be is definitely coastal or on one of Croatia’s countless spectacular islands near the clear blue Adriatic sea. There are however options for those still stuck in inland Croatia in the capital Zagreb. Tourists and those Zagreb locals still yet to hit the coast can seek relief from two popular spots in the city. Lake Jarun, situated south-west of the centre, and Lake Bundek, which is south-east of downtown Zagreb. They may not be the Adriatic coast but they do provide adequate substitutes for those stuck with a summer in the city.

Whilst most head to the fantastic lakes in Zagreb to cool down from the heat, some of Zagreb’s youth take to the newly built city fountain.
