StarWars.com announced that Oscar-winner Benicio Del Toro and Jurassic Park and Enlightened star Laura Dern will star in the blockbuster follow-up to The Force Awakens.
Dern and Del Toro are to be joined Kelly Marie Tran, known for her bit parts in TV shows such as Comedy Bang! Bang! and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Daisy Ridley and John Boyega will rejoin the cast alongside, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Mark Hamill, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie and Andy Serkis for Episode VIII.
“Rey took her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and will continue her epic journey with Finn, Poe, and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the continuing Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Episode VIII, which began principal photography at Pinewood Studios in London on Feb. 15, 2016.”
Filming for Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is written and directed by Rian Johnsons, set to move to Dubrovnik, Croatia for one week on 9 March.
