Sport Fest 2020 to be held in Poreč in October

The fourth edition of Sport Fest, the leading sports fair and conference will be held in Poreč from 16-18 October.

The main message of Sport Fest 2020 is “Faithful to sport!” for obvious reasons and because of the support needed by the entire sports industry in all its segments and at all levels.

As every year, the organisers have announced an extremely interesting conference part where the celebrated athletes, coaches, and others who live and work with sports will present the most current topics and share their unique experiences. Among them will be Nenad Bjelica, Vlado Šola, Stojko Vranković, Zlatko Mateša, Ratko Rudić, Goran Ivanišević, Marijo Možnik, and many others.

The fair part will also bring a presentation of equipment, food, and trends, and in the “active-fun” section there will be a race organised by Run Croatia, BMX jam, bodybuilding competition, and interactive presentations of boxing, lacrosse, CrossFit, table tennis and much more.

Thanks to the continuous support of the city of Poreč, Valamar Riviera, and other sponsors and partners, the fair part of the event will be free for all visitors this year as well.

Alan Balen, Executive Director of the project, emphasised: “It is obvious that we must first emphasise that we approached the organisation with even greater commitment and even more people, to continuously follow relevant epidemiological news and guidelines, all in order to maintain another successful Sport Fest in Poreč. Excellent figures from last year with more than 5,000 visitors, about thirty lecturers, and over 70 exhibitors motivate us and commit us to maximum engagement. I thank everyone for their dedicated preparations, and a big thank you to all the partners, lecturers, and exhibitors who understand the importance of this year’s event and who follow and support us. This year we are preparing interesting and diverse content for all profiles and ages of visitors. Additional confirmation of that is the location of our today’s gathering because we are cooperating with the excellent team of “Luda kuća” also in Poreč, where their performances will be held again in the evening program. Once again, we invite all those interested to join us and stay faithful to the sport together!”

The Deputy Mayor of Poreč, Nadia Štifanić Dobrilović, addressed a large number of those present and pointed out that the host city is looking forward to Sport Fest, and that she, as an athlete, is especially looking forward to Run Croatia races in which she will participate as last year.

From a large number of well-known athletes in the audience, the host Drago Ćosić held a short interview with Vlado Šola and Marija Možnik, who commented on the situation in handball and gymnastics and presented their expectations for future developments. At the same time, they briefly announced their lectures that will be held at the conference part of the event in Poreč.

In order to better show the diversity of Sport Fest, an interesting performance was given by comedian Danko Adžić, Augustin Viličnik, “the fittest Croat” for 2018, 2019, and 2020. He held CrossFit presentations with his team and at the end, a short training was shown Ivo Morandini and Ivana Kukić on mini-trampolines.
