September has been another successful tourism month for the Dalmatian city of Split which is enjoying a record year.

A total of 109,444 tourists visited Split in September and created 311,424 overnight stays, this is 16% and 13% more respectively than the same period last year.

Since 1 January 2018 Split has welcomed 765,315 tourist arrivals, which is 17% more than last year. Overnight stays are up 15% to 2,277,909 since the start of the year.

Tourists from the UK, USA, Germany, France and Poland contributed to the most overnight stays in Split in September.

There are hopes that October could also be a record-breaking with a number of events planned as the city continues to aim to be an all year round tourist destination, including a number of exhibitions, fairs and the Split Film Festival.
