Split will host one of the region’s most anticipated craft beer events on Saturday, 16 May 2026, as Split Beer Fest returns for its sixth edition.

Running from 17:00 to 23:00, the festival will take place in the garden of Plan B Pub, transforming the venue into a hub of independent brewing culture for one evening.

Over 40 beers from regional breweries

This year’s festival will feature more than 40 different beers from 19 established craft breweries from Croatia and the wider region.

Visitors can expect a broad range of styles, from hop-forward IPAs and refreshing sour beers to rich stouts.

Participating breweries include Bevog, Brewtal, Brewwille, Brlog, The Garden Brewery, Hvar Brewing Co., Medvedgrad, Nova Runda, Pulfer and Zmajska Pivovara, among others.

The line-up reflects a mix of well-known names shaping the craft beer scene and emerging producers.

Alongside commercial breweries, homebrewers will also present their own creations, offering visitors a rare opportunity to sample small-batch beers and meet the makers behind them.

At the heart of the event is the SMASH homebrew competition, which focuses on beers made using a single malt and a single hop. This format highlights brewing skill and creativity.

The final stage of the competition will take place during the festival, with a professional judging panel evaluating entries throughout the day. Winners will be announced at 21:00.

All-you-can-taste concept

Entry to the festival is based on the purchase of a SMASH-branded tasting glass, priced at €30, available exclusively at the entrance on the day. The glass provides unlimited tastings of all beers, as well as a food voucher redeemable for a burger or pizza.

Attendance is limited to 300 visitors, and organisers advise arriving early due to high demand.

Music throughout the event will be provided by KLFM radio, contributing to a relaxed, community-focused atmosphere.

Organisers say the festival aims to bring together craft beer enthusiasts and support small, independent brewers, with a focus on discovery, quality and social connection.
