Snow Way! A Goal And A Point For Dinamo Zagreb

After 5 straight games without a goal or a point, the drought has ended for the Croatian champions. Dinamo Zagreb have wrapped up their 2012 UEFA Champions League campaign with a 1:1 draw with Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev, in a match that was momentarily suspended due to heavy snow in Zagreb tonight.

Although they had the better of a scrappy first half that was interrupted by a 15 minute break because of heavy snow on the pitch at Maksimir Stadium in the Croatian capital, Dinamo Zagreb went behind on the stroke of half-time to a goal from Kiev’s Jarmolenko.

Dinamo Zagreb were unable to convert chances they had in the second spell as their misery in the UEFA Champions League looked set to continue. After 11 Champions League losses on the trot, it took a last second penalty in injury time from striker Ivan Krstanovic to level the scores. The draw means Dinamo Zagreb finishes bottom of group A with one point from their six games.
