Former Croatia and West Ham coach Slaven Bilić has a new job again after a break of nearly 12 months.

Bilić (50), who was sacked by West Ham in November 2017, has been named new coach of Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

The Croatian signed a deal with the club in New York on Thursday.

“Bilić will train Ittihad throughout the upcoming phase of the sports season. The board wished Bilić all success in his new mission to help Ittihad regain its outstanding performances,” a club statement read.

Al-Ittihad plays in the Saudi Professional League, and have started the 2018-19 season with three losses and one draw in four games. They have won eight league titles and the Asian Champions League twice, in 2004 and 2005.

Bilić has coached Hajduk Split, Lokomotiv Moscow, Bešiktaš, West Ham and the Croatian national team and youth team.
