Silver At European Champs For Rising Croatian Star

One of Croatia’s brightest Judo stars, who has already been earmarked for big things in the sport, has just won a silver medal at the European Judo Championships held in Prague.

17-year-old Barbara Matic, from the Dalmatian city of Split, took silver in the U70kg category against 17 competitors from 15 European nations.

Barbara’s younger sister Brigeta is also a Croatian representative, competing in the U78kg category.
