The 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona is remembered for a number of great performances, but one remarkable one was that of the United States Men’s Basketball Team, who thrilled the world by putting on one of the most dominating performances in Olympic team history.
The team at the time featured the cream of the NBA, including players such as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. In the final the Dream Team met a Croatian side which featured the likes of Dražen Petrović, Dino Rađa and Toni Kukoč. Croatia at one point led the match at the start of the second quarter 25:23, but the Americans were too strong, winning 117:85 and the gold medal.
The ball, signed by the Croatian team, is being auctioned on leading sports memorabilia auction site SCP Auctions. Currently it is going for over $2,500. If you are interested in this collectors item check out the site here.
