Serbs Attack Croatian Fans Train On Route To Skopje

A group of Serbian hooligans have attacked a train carrying Croatian football supporters as it passed through Serbia on its way to Skopje for tonight’s World Cup qualifying match against Macedonia.

In the early hours of this morning, the supporters train which departed from Zagreb yesterday, was pelted with rocks as it made its way into Serbia. Luckily nobody was injured as the only damage that was done was to the train, reported Jutarnji list.

The train was attacked again as it came into the Serbian capital Belgrade, this time the attack was more intense, and besides two windows being smashed, there were no reported injuries. The attacks occurred even though 20-odd members of the Serbian special police were patrolling the train as it passed through Serbia.

Croatia play Macedonia tonight at 8:30pm.
