The strongest assets of Slavonia and Podravina

“With this year’s wine festival, we combined two strong tourist assets – the Noble Route and the top wines of Slavonia and Podravina. Our county has a long tradition of winemaking and viticulture. In Slatina, back in 1864, one of the first sparkling wines in Croatia was produced, and we are also known for the award-winning green silvanac from Orahovica, while on the slopes of Bilogora, Krndija and Papuk there are more and more family boutique wineries with excellent wines. We will have the opportunity to taste some of them this time as well”, points out Martina Jakelić, director of the TZ Virovitica-Podravine County, who, together with the local tourist board, is the organizer of all six events.
