A public call for learning Croatian online has been published
ZAGREB, 15 August 2019 – The State Office for Croats Abroad is once again offering scholarships for Croatian language learning online.
Applications for scholarships for Croatian language learning online in the 2019/20 academic year are now open, the State Office for Croats Abroad announced on its website on Wednesday.
Organised by the University of Zagreb, Croatian Heritage Federation and the University centre SRCE, the aim of the scholarships is to help further a better understanding of the Croatian language and culture, as well as to foster the partnership with Croatians abroad and their descendants. It is hoped that the programme will help provide a stimulant for Croatians abroad and their descendants to return to Croatia.
Applicants must be aged over 18, completed at least secondary school and with residence outside Croatia or those who have been residing in Croatia for no more than three years. Those who can apply are people with Croatian heritage, their spouses, as well as friends of the Croatian people and the Republic of Croatia who can nurture Croatian identity and promote Croatian cultural unity.
Only electronic applications will be accepted to the following address: [email protected] with applications closing on 29 August 2019.
