Sandra Paović New Para Table Tennis World Champion

Sandra-PaovicSandra Paović was a former Croatian table tennis champion, representing Croatia at the 2008 Olympic Games, before a near fatal car accident in Paris in 2009 left her without the use of her legs, now the 31-year-old is back at the top of her beloved sport after being crowned the new World Para Table Tennis champion in China…

Paović has won the table tennis event at the World Para Championship which is being held in China, beating German Grebe in the final 3-0 (13-11, 11-4, 11-3). In the semi-final Paović was too good for her Russian opponent, winning 3-1. 288 invalid male and female table tennis players are taking part in the World Championships with Paović achieving the best result out of the 5 Croatians taking part.
