Rugby Club Zagreb Hosting Open Day

Action from last year’s open day

Rugby union has been played in Croatia for over 60 years but it is still considered a minor sport in the country…

In an attempt to get more players involved in the game and introduce rugby to a new audience, Rugby Club Zagreb, who have recently taken on New Zealand rugby coaches David Casey and Ian Snooks, will be hosting an Open Day this weekend in the capital.

On Sunday 25 September 2016 from 11am to 1pm Rugby Club Zagreb will be hosting its 2nd Open Day at at Rudeš (Sošićka bb) in Zagreb.

“Small or large, everyone is welcome to go along and join in, or just look and get a taste of the unique features rugby has to offer. Rugby truly is a sport for all; any gender, tall, short, fast, slow, stout, slight, rugby has a position which needs you”, the club says.

“Rugby is more than just a sport, at its heart are a set of core values which equip its players and supporters with the same core values to use in their everyday lives. True friendship, teamwork, respect, tolerance, equality, perseverance and ambition.”
