Roma star Edin Džeko opening cafe in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik

25 March 2019 – Roma and Bosnia and Herzegovina striker Edin Džeko is to open a coffee shop in Dubrovnik.

The 33-year-old former Manchester City player, has invested in a cafe in the Lapad area, just outside of Dubrovnik, with his good friend Miho Obradović.

“We have been friends for 12 years and this will be out first joint investment. It is not an elite bar, which the media speculated, but just a classic coffee bar. Work is just being complete on it and it should open in the next 15 days,” Obradović told Poslovni.hr

Džeko has enjoyed a number of holidays in Dubrovnik over the last few years and purchased a villa in the city back in 2015.

Nicknamed the ‘Bosnian Diamond’, Džeko won the Bosnian Footballer of the Year title three years in a row. He has scored 55 goals in 100 appearances for his country.

Obradović, who runs the popular street-food fish restaurant Barba in Dubrovnik, would not yet reveal the name of the new cafe in Lapad.
