One of the recent success stories to come out of Croatia has been the rise of entrepreneur Mate Rimac and his company Rimac Automobili.

Rimac produces high-performance electric vehicles, including the Concept One, the world’s first electric super car, drivetrains and battery systems.

Rimac Automobili factory is located on the outskirts of Zagreb in Sveta Nedelja and after opening up tours it has quickly become a popular tourist attraction in and around the Croatian capital.

Since opening 2,700 tourists have visited the factory, and the numbers are growing fast, Ana Pavičić, Rimac Factory Tours manager told Poslovni.hr, adding that every day in July was booked out.

“We can find the odd free time in a day, but we already know that there will be tours every day,” she said.

Until now, spring and autumn have been the busiest times for tours as school students make the trip out to the factory for educational visits.

“Most students have come from Croatia, but more students are coming from Germany and even the America,” Pavičić adds.

With the increase in the number of Germans arriving, the tours are now conducted in Croatian, English and German.
