Records Tumble At Dubrovnik Airport

Dubrovnik Airport has set new records in 2012 after statistics from the first 10 months of the year were released. 1,4321,501 passengers passed through the southern Dalmatian airport, up 6% from 2012.

October was a particularly busy month as Dubrovnik enjoyed one of its best post-season results ever. In October there were 23% more passengers than in the same month last year.

The largest number of passengers this year arrived from the UK, followed by France, Germany and Ireland. There were significant increases in the number of tourists from Sweden, Finland, Poland and Japan.

Croatia Airlines flew the most amount of passengers into Dubrovnik with 369,550, followed by British low-cost airline EasyJet with 144,132. Low-cost airlines made up 28% of the total traffic at Dubrovnik airport this year with 33% more passengers than in 2011.
