Record April in the history of Croatia Airlines

ZAGREB, 8 May 2019 – Croatia’s national carrier, and Star Alliance member Croatia Airlines have achieved their best April in the history of the company.
Croatia Airlines transported 172,758 passengers last month, which is a record number of passengers in April in the company’s history. It is 14.2 percent more passengers than the previous best April, recorded in 2011 (151.231 passengers), the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
When compared with April last year, Croatia Airlines has seen growth in passenger number of 16%, or 23,359 passengers.
From January – April 2019, Croatia Airlines has recorded 3% growth from the same period last year. In this period, the airline has transported 518,557 passengers with an average of 69.1% cabin passenger capacity.
The airline says that bookings and demand is looking positive for the remainder of the year, especially during the tourist season in which Croatia Airlines will fly directly to 38 destinations in 24 European countries.
The airline expects growth of 5% in passenger numbers this year compared to 2018 when they transported a record 2,168,863 passengers.
