ZAGREB, April 29 (Hina) – A preliminary inspection of buildings damaged in the devastating earthquake in Zagreb on March 22 should be completed in seven to ten days, Zagreb’s civil protection authority said on Wednesday.

Dario Krnjakovic, assistant head of the city department for construction and repair of damaged public buildings and housing facilities, said that structural engineers had inspected 15,475 buildings damaged in the quake, which is 86% of the inspection requests.

He underscored that the preliminary inspection could be completed in seven to ten days.

In addition to other activities, works on clearing city tram lines are currently under way.
