Bundek will once again become one of Zagreb’s main summer gathering spots from Thursday, 28 May, as Pop Up by the Lake returns for its 10th anniversary edition.

Running until the end of June, the open-air event will bring an expanded programme of music, films, workshops and social events to the lakeside venue, continuing a tradition that has attracted visitors to Bundek for the past decade.

Organisers say this year’s edition will feature a mix of live music evenings, creative workshops, lifestyle programmes and activities designed for all generations, set against the backdrop of sunset views and outdoor summer gatherings.

Weekday programmes will include popular Hortique workshops, yoga sessions, lifestyle activities and a range of evening concept events by the lake.

One of the main additions this year will be collaborations with several well-known Zagreb museums, which will bring interactive installations and experiences to Bundek during weekends.

Visitors will be able to explore content from HaHaHouse, Lost Tales, Museum of Illusions and Selfie & Memories Museum.

A new partnership with the team behind Clica will also introduce weekly social events every Monday, including game nights, speed friending sessions, social mixers and Catan evenings aimed at encouraging new connections and relaxed summer gatherings.

The entertainment programme will also feature stand-up comedy and outdoor film screenings.

As part of the Pop Up Comedy Tuesdays series, audiences can expect performances from Croatian comedians including Aleks Curać Šarić, Josip Gotovac and Saša Turković, alongside an English-language comedy evening organised in cooperation with the Zagreb English Comedy team.

The Film Festival powered by Blanc 1664 will once again host screenings under the stars by the lake, with titles including F1, Springsteen, Superman and the classic Casablanca. A public outdoor screening of Croatia’s football match is also planned for 17 June.

With cocktails, street food, music, workshops and open-air evenings continuing throughout the month, Pop Up by the Lake is set to mark its 10th anniversary as one of Zagreb’s best-known summer events.
