Police and Hospital Staff Busy on Day 2 of Ultra Europe in Split

CroatiaIt was a busy night for Police and staff at Split’s KBC hospital after dozens of Ultra Europe revellers were taken there overnight…

Once again more than 50,000 fans packed out Split’s Poljud stadium to see as a host of world-class DJ’s, including David Guetta, Carl Cox and Armin Van Buuren, but not all of them could last the distance. Daily Slobodna Dalmacija reports that 24 party-goers were taken to Split hospital on the night, whilst ambulance staff had to deal with 60 separate cases at the stadium. Intoxication and drugs were the reason for the majority of the call-outs.

Out of the 24 taken to hospital, 6 were sent to the psychiatric unit to sober up because they were over aggressive. Police say that 72 people were arrested, 29 of them foreign citizens.
