PHOTOS: Thousands turn out for big international pršut fair in Istria

Over 30,000 people have attended the 12th International Pršut Fair (ISAP) in Tinjan, Istria over the weekend. 

Over 50 of the best pršut producers from Croatia and from all over Europe, including Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Austria and Spain showcased their products over the weekend. 

Lovers of this exquisite delicacy had the chance to taste more than 50 types of pršut during the 3-day fair, as well as some world-class cheeses, wines, jams, burgers and more.

On the first day of the fair the contest to find the best pršut was held with judges grading 36 pršuts.  

Mijukić pršut producers from Runovića near Imotski were judged the overall champion, whilst Jelenić from Istria and Bel Cro Trade from Drniš also won champion awards for their pršuts.

Entertainment this year was provided by Željko Bebek and Petar Grašo who held concerts on the Friday and Saturday night.
