VRBANJ, 2 August 2019 – After New York, Boston, San Francisco, Split, Rijeka, Hvar, Opatija, Rab, and many other places, the “Story of the Konoba” by Miki Bratanić finally performed at the place where it was born, in his family Konoba Bratanić.

Bratanić is the owner of a traditional Dalmatian konoba, or wine cellar, in Vrbanj on the island of Hvar which is a protected cultural heritage of Republic of Croatia.

The goal of the “Story of the Konoba” project is to preserve and promote Croatian cultural heritage through various kinds of public activities like cultural events, presentations, and the publishing of books and articles.  Miki has published three books so far dedicated to the konoba; “The Konoba”, “Story of the Konoba” and “Stories from the Konoba.”

Below is a look at a fragment of this emotional evening held at Konoba Bratanić thru a photo gallery taken by Mladen Šćerbe.
