Croatian and American special forces have recently wrapped up an intensive joint training exercise in Croatia.
During March and April, members of the Croatian Special Forces Command teamed up with a special unit from the US Armed Forces for a Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) programme.
The drills took place in the area around Udbina and the waters near Split.

The main goal of the exercise was to share experience, strengthen cooperation, and improve interoperability between the allied units.
This year’s training included a wide range of demanding activities, such as parachute jumps onto land and sea, as well as both day and night live-fire exercises that tested situational and instinctive shooting skills.

Troops also worked together on complex breaching procedures using mechanical, ballistic, and explosive methods.

In the final weeks of the training, the focus shifted to specialist tasks.
These included conducting vessel boarding operations on moving ships using RHIB boats, combat diving, underwater navigation, and coastal landing procedures.

The entire exercise was carried out at a high professional level. Support came from members of the Croatian Navy and the Croatian Air Force, highlighting strong collaboration between branches of the military.
