PHOTOS: 70 more tonnes of PPE equipment arrives in Croatia on Sunday from Shanghai

ZAGREB, April 19 (Hina) – A shipment of 70 tonnes of protective equipment arrived in Croatia on Sunday aboard a special plane from Shanghai.

The plane with a great number of protective gowns, masks and face shields landed at Zagreb’s Franjo Tudjman Airport at about 1230 hrs.

The Croatian government recalls in a press release that the equipment was procured from two Chinese companies, Meheco and Sinopharm.

Today’s shipment also includes donations from Chinese cities and regions including Cangzhou, Chongqing, Shanghai, and Hainan as well as donations from a few companies to Croatian cities.

More planes with protective gear necessary for efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19 will arrive in the days ahead thanks to the government’s efforts, reads the press release.
