ŠIBENIK, 21 April 2025 – The city of Šibenik marked Easter Monday in a festive and heart-warming way, hosting its traditional Easter breakfast for the 21st year in a row.
Organised by the Šibenik Tourist Board, the Association of Craftsmen Šibenik, and the City of Šibenik, the event took place in Trg Pavla Šubića I, where locals and visitors gathered to enjoy a big spread of homemade Easter delicacies.
As always, local caterers, members of the Association of Craftsmen, prepared a bountiful table full of traditional dishes and sweet treats.

One of the main attractions was the beloved mega frittata, made with an impressive 5,000 eggs and topped with wild asparagus.
There was something for everyone – from boiled prosciutto and pancetta, to young spring onions and fresh radishes, all adding to the authentic local flavour.

Mayor Željko Burić greeted the crowd and wished everyone a happy and blessed Easter, joined by Joso Smolić, president of the Association of Craftsmen.

The Easter meal was blessed by cathedral parish priest, don Krešimir Mateša, and a moment of prayer was held for the late Pope Francis.

The event also featured a cultural and artistic programme, with performances from the Šibenik City Music Ensemble, the Šibenik City Guard, the Šibenik Majorettes, and two Etno Balarin groups – one from Šibenska maslina kindergarten and the other from Smilje kindergarten.

The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by the vocal group Klapa Mirakul.
