PHOTOS: 30,000 attend international pršut festival in Tinjan

TINJAN, 21 October 2019 – The biggest gastro event in Istria, the 13th International Pršut Fair (ISAP), has taken place again in Tinjan over the weekend.
Over 30,000 people from Croatia and around Europe attended with more than 20 tonnes of pršut eaten over the three-day fair. A record number of champion and gold medals were also awarded this year.
Besides pršut producers from Croatia, ISAP hosted over 50 pršut producers from Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Spain, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro. Of the 43 pršuts which were judged at the event, 38 of them received gold medals and three were awarded champions medals.
The absolute champion of ISAP was pršut producer Agroturizam Selo Mekisi from Vizinada. There were also competitions of the best photo and pršut hunt which gave the public a chance to win top-class pršut.
Night express band, Zeljko Joksimovic, Jelena Rozga, Luka Basi, and Gustafi entertained the crowds in the evening.
