Pag Cheese Wins Global Cheese Award


A Croatian cheese from Kolan on the Adriatic island of Pag has taken out the highest award at the Global Cheese Awards, one of the oldest and most prestigious awards in the world, held near Bristol in the UK.

Well-known experts from the dairy industry have selected Gligora “Paski sir” (Gligora Pag cheese) as the absolute winner at the awards.

“There was more 1200 cheeses from around 100 countries there. Out of the 1200 cheeses from around the world we won gold in three categories for our Pag cheese, silver for our Zigljen cheese and silver for new mixed cheese from goat and cow’s milk,” said Sime Gligora.
