Novak Djokovic Named Balkan Athlete Of The Year, Croat Perkovic 3rd

Croatia’s Olympic gold medal wining discus thrower Sandra Perkovic has come third in the Balkan Athlete of the Year awards.

Serbia’s world number one tennis player Novak Djokovic was named the winner of the award, ahead of Turkish athlete Asli Cakir Alptekin, who won gold at the Olympic Games in London in the women’s 1,500 meters event.
