Those who have spent a bit of time in Croatia will no doubt have their own story where they had been in an ‘absurd situation’ (usually involving some form of administration) that they like to relay over dinner or a drink. Now there is a data base of such stories with the launch of a new website in Croatia Apsurdistan.in.
People who find themselves in ‘absurd’ situations are invited to post their stories online in categories such as Police, Health Department, Mobile operators, Customs, Administration, Parking, and Permits. “I received a message from my mobile operator to say that my account will be deactivated in 7 days. When I sent them a complaint and said it must be a mistake they told me that they will look into it and get back to me within 15 DAYS,” was one of the first stories on the new portal.
