New Orleans to host the Croatian Culture & Food Experience festival

NEW ORLEANS, 6 February 2019 – A day of Croatian culture and food in New Orleans later this month. 

The Croatian American Society in New Orleans will host the Croatian Culture & Food Experience festival on Saturday, 23 February 2019. 

The event will feature the best fresh local seafood such as raw and charbroiled oysters,  fried shrimp and oyster po-boys.  Croatian favorites served will include spit roasted lamb, prosciutto, cheeses, and Croatian desserts.  

A tasting table will have samples of Croatian specialty dishes paired with Croatian wine. Drinks served include Croatian beer and wine along with a local favorite – Tako Toddies.  

Cultural attractions include a Croatian dance demonstration, cultural videos, needlework displays, and travel information for Croatia. Featured entertainment will be a visiting Klapa group from Croatia and accordion player Damir Radov.   

A highlight for the kids will be an incredible 128 foot inflatable obstacle course,  while adults can enjoy the newly built bocce court.
