OSIJEK, 3 June 2026 – The long-planned new Clinical Hospital Centre Osijek (KBC Osijek) has entered a key realisation phase after the official handover of a land donation agreement, clearing all outstanding property-legal matters and enabling the project to move towards public procurement and construction.

The announcement was made during a ceremonial session of the Osječko-baranjska County Assembly held on 2 June 2026.

The development represents one of the most significant infrastructure milestones for Slavonia and Baranja, with the project valued at more than €850 million.

The agreement ensures that all legal prerequisites have been completed, allowing the next phase of implementation to begin.

Speaking at the event, County Prefect Nataša Tramišak said the new hospital represents a defining project for the region, emphasising its long-term importance for healthcare, economic development, and population retention.

He also referenced wider investments under the Government’s development programme for Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem, including infrastructure upgrades, economic projects, and healthcare improvements.
