New Image for European Cup Winning Luka Modrić

CroatiaLuka Modrić became the 8th Croat to win the European Champions League on Saturday night when his Real Madrid side beat their city rivals Atleltico 4-1 after extra time in Lisbon, and got his trademark long, golden locks chopped off as a result…

Team mate Alvaro Arbeloa announced during celebrations that the diminutive midfielder would have his long hair cut off as a result of the win, and on Sunday he was true to his word, as the Croatian international visited Cristiano Ronaldo’s hairdresser to spruce himself up. The new look will surely be a more comfortable one in Brazil for Modrić, when temperatures are set to hit 40 degrees. Luka joins fellow Croatians Robert Prosinečki, Alen Bokšić, Zvonimir Boban, Davor Šuker, Dario Šimić, Igor Bišćan, and Mario Mandžukić as winners of the European Cup.
