New Historical American Drama ‘Knightfall’ Filming in Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik has been selected to be a filming location for Knightfall -a series that recounts the fall, persecution, and burning at the stake of The Templar Knights, orchestrated by Pope Clement V and King Philip IV of France on Friday, October the 13, 1307. The series will offer a look at why this date, more than several hundred years later haunts us.
Earlier this year the History Channel announced that it would screen series, which is produced by actor Jeremy Renner, who is also expected to star in the series. Scenes were being prepared this week in Dubrovnik in anticipation for filming to start.

The series is the latest in a growing list of international productions to select the picturesque city to film in, a list which includes Star Wars, Game of Thrones and The Fan.
