Croatia is set to gain a new direct air connection with Scotland next summer, with Jet2.com announcing weekly flights between Pula and Edinburgh from May 2027.
The new route will begin on 2 May 2027 and operate once a week, every Sunday, until 17 October.
The service will give travellers in Scotland a direct connection to Istria, while also providing Croatian and international travellers with another option for reaching Edinburgh.
According to Pula Airport, the Edinburgh service will be the sixth destination operated by Jet2.com from Pula.
The airline already connects Pula with several destinations in the United Kingdom, including London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham and East Midlands.
The new Edinburgh route is part of the airport’s efforts to strengthen international connectivity ahead of the 2027 summer season.
Pula Airport said the new service would further strengthen Istria’s links with the British market, while also opening the region to travellers from Scotland.
The airport’s general manager Marko Ražem said the partnership with Jet2.com had continued to grow following the introduction of two new routes with Jet2holidays in 2026.
“Istria has long proven to be a premier destination for visitors from England, and now with great pleasure we open our doors and look forward to a fantastic response from guests from Scotland,” he said.
The new route is also significant for the wider tourism sector because direct regional air links can make shorter breaks and independent travel easier, particularly outside the traditional peak summer period.
Flights are already available for booking.
The Edinburgh–Pula connection is scheduled to operate throughout the main 2027 tourist season, with the final flight currently planned for 17 October.
For Istria, the route adds another connection with the UK at a time when Croatian airports continue to expand their international networks and airlines increasingly announce summer routes well ahead of the season.
