New Airline to Link China with Croatia for the First Time

CroatiaChinese Southeast Europe Business Association (CSEBA) have announced plans to create a new airline which will launch flights between China and Croatia, as well as direct flights between Zagreb and the Serbian capital of Belgrade for the first time in 23 years, reports EX-YU Aviation News…

CSEBA say that flights between Croatian and China, as well as other nations in Central Asia, will serve the tourist demand and will be affordable.

“There will be tourist air charters between Croatia and China. Chinese tourists are seeking new destinations, and due to recent initiatives by the Croatian Tourism Ministry, the Chinese are very interested in Croatia. Ticket prices are expected to be in the range of low-cost airlines,” CSEBA President, Mario Rendulić said in a statement.

It will be the first time that Croatia has had a direct service to China, which has seen double-digit growth in the number of tourists visiting Croatia in recent years. Last year 43,000 Chinese tourists visited Croatia, and this figure is expected to growth as the Ministry of Tourism invests in the asian market.
