New Croatian platform connects travellers with 250+ quality food and wine destinations

ZAGREB, 23 July 2026 – A new Croatian digital platform is bringing together more than 250 restaurants, wineries, konobas and local producers in an effort to connect travellers with authentic food and wine experiences across the country.

Nautical Gourmet Atlas (NGA) is built around a different approach to discovering destinations, relying on editorial selection and expert evaluation rather than anonymous user ratings or popularity on social media.

The platform currently focuses primarily on Croatia’s coast and is set to expand across the rest of the country during 2027.

Its partners include well-known restaurants such as Pelegrini, Boškinac, LD Restaurant, Alfred Keller, JAZ by Ana Roš, Nautika, Dvor, ZOI, Foša and Zigante, as well as wineries including Kozlović, Benvenuti, Roxanich, Korta Katarina, Stina, Tomić and Testament.

The platform also features a wide range of family-run konobas, small wineries, cheesemakers, olive oil producers and other local businesses preserving regional food traditions.

The project is the result of almost 15 years of work in the field. Since 2011, its team has produced television series focused on Croatia’s coast, gastronomy and nautical tourism, travelling more than 60,000 kilometres and producing more than 200 television episodes broadcast internationally.

During that period, the team visited hundreds of restaurants, wineries and local producers and spoke with thousands of chefs, restaurateurs, winemakers, producers and guests.

According to the project, that experience highlighted the wide range of businesses across Croatia whose common characteristic is not necessarily size, luxury or popularity, but quality.

Nautical Gourmet Atlas was created to connect travellers, particularly boaters and visitors looking for authentic experiences, with businesses that place emphasis on quality, professionalism, local identity and hospitality.

The platform does not operate as a competition or a ranking of winners. Instead, its stated aim is to bring together guests and businesses that share similar values.

Recommendations are based on editorial selection and professional assessment, drawing on long-term field experience and collaboration with experts in gastronomy, wine, tourism and nautical travel, as well as people with knowledge of local communities.

The platform says its objective is not to identify the most famous destinations, but businesses whose quality it can responsibly endorse.

Nautical Gourmet Atlas is free to use and available in Croatian, English and German.

As the project expands, its focus will remain on highlighting restaurants, wineries, producers and other hospitality businesses that contribute to Croatia’s gastronomic identity and offer visitors experiences rooted in local products, traditions and personal hospitality.
