ZAGREB, 3 May 2020 – Two more tram lines will reopen in the Croatian capital Zagreb on Monday, 4 May as the second phase of easing measures begins, the ZET public transportation company said in a statement.

From Monday, tram lines no.12 and no.5 will operate again.

The no.12 will operate on the following route: Ljubljanica – Ulica Grada Vukovara – Držićeva –  Šubićeva – Kvaternikov trg – Maksimirska – Dubrava.

The no.5 will return to its usual route from 4 May: Prečko – Savska cesta – Ulica Grada Vukovara – Držićeva – Šubićeva – Kvaternikov trg – Maksimirska – Dubrava.

To recall, since April 27, tram line no.3 has been operating along the Ljubljanica – Vukovar – Savišće route, while the no.14 runs from Zapruđe via the rotor (roundabout) to Ljubljanica.

The damage caused by the 22 March earthquake is making the reintroduction of tram services in the whole of Zagreb still difficult and trams are still not operating to the main square.

“ZET’s expert services, in collaboration with other emergency services, are on the ground every day and are working intensively to provide conditions to gradually introduce tram traffic on other lines,” the company said.
