More than 200,000 flowers at this year’s ‘Floraart’ show in Zagreb

ZAGREB, March 17 (Hina) – This year’s Floraart international flower show will be held on Zagreb’s Bundek lake from May 13 to 19 with more than 200,000 flowers on display, organisers said during the week.

Floraart is organised by the Zrinjevac landscaping company and is an opportunity for florists from Croatia and Europe to exhibit flowers as well as compete in 26 categories.

More than 200 Croatian and over 20 international exhibitors from 10 countries will display flowers, cacti, substrates and seeds, machinery, gardening equipment and more over 300,00m2 outdoor and 2,000m2 indoor space.

Floraart has been held in Zagreb for 54 years and is the largest horticultural event in this part of Europe. The exhibition is visited by thousands of visitors attending the flower show which consists of various entertainment and educational events as well as workshops and a competition section.

As well as sales of flowers and seedlings, this year there will be interesting lectures and workshops, music, performances, and competitions such as the traditional Croatian Florist Cup, the Best Home in Zagreb, and the Best High School Students in Flower Arrangement competition.
