Minister Promises No New Taxes In 2013

Time will be the judge but Croatia’s Minister of Economy Ivan Vrdoljak has promised that the government will not be introducing any new taxes in the economic sector in 2013.

The Minister, who recently took over the Economy portfolio from jailed Former Deputy Prime Minister Radimir Cacic, said that the government will press on in 2013 with a host of reforms.

“We have been in power a year, and now we really must start with reforms,” said Vrdoljak, adding that Croatia needed an industrial strategy so that investors would now where to invest in the next 10-15 years.

Vrdoljak made the announcement at a meeting with members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Zagreb.
