Matthew McConaughey names a Croatian pasta among his ‘last meal’ choices

Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey has revealed one Croatian dish he would include in his ideal “last meal”, a pasta dish he discovered during a visit to Istria.
McConaughey made the choice while appearing on Last Meals, the popular series from YouTube channel Mythical Kitchen, in which celebrities select the food they would want to eat if they could design their final meal.
Among his choices was pasta from Meneghetti, the renowned wine and gastronomy estate near Bale in Istria.
The dish is a tonnarelli pasta served with Gambero Rosso prawns, coffee cream and brown butter. The combination brings together fresh pasta and the sweet flavour of large red prawns with the more distinctive aromas of coffee and browned butter.
McConaughey had previously visited Meneghetti during a stay in Istria and apparently remembered the dish.
Meneghetti is located on a historic estate surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Its restaurant focuses on seasonal ingredients, local producers and contemporary interpretations of Istrian cuisine.
