Mark Knopfler Coming to Croatia

Former Dire Straits lead guitarist and vocalist Mark Knopfler has announced that he will play at Zagreb’s Arena in May 2013, reports daily newspaper 24sata.

It will be the Brits third visit to Croatia after performing twice previously with Dire Straits. In the summer of 1983 Dire Straits played a sold concert in Zagreb. Knopfler will promote his seventh solo album on his tour of Croatia.

Knopfler is one of the most respected fingerstyle guitarists of the modern rock era, and was ranked 27th on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.
