Croatia will be without the services of Juventus striker Mario Mandžukić for the remainder of their Euro qualifying campaign…

Mandžukić has been ruled out of European qualifiers against Bulgaria on 10 October at Maksimir stadium and away against Malta on 13 October.

“Unfortunately, Mandžukić cannot play due to a hamstring injury. He has been examined on Wednesday and concluded that he will not feature in these matches”, said Croatia national team doctor Boris Nemec.

“He will be back to full training in two weeks, without risking injury recurrence. Of course, he was not happy with these news, bit his health comes first”, added Nemec.

The Juventus star made his debut for Croatia in 2007, and in 62 appearances he scored 19 goals.
