Marina Romic Crowned Most Beautiful Croatian in National Folk Costume Living Out of Croatia

The Most Beautiful Croatian in National Folk Costume Living Out of Croatia pageant was held this weekend. 

Marina Romic from Vojvodina in Serbia has been crowned the Most Beautiful Croatian in National Folk Costume Living Out of Croatia at a pageant held this weekend in Tomislavgrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Along with the title, Romic was awarded a replica necklace and bracelet from between the 10th-12th century from Visici near Capljina in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

First runner-up was Klara Jamic from Germany, whilst second runner-up was Noemi Molnar from Hungary. Miss Photogenic was won by Danica Vincec from Canada via an internet vote.

19 girls of Croatian origin living in Australia, Austria, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Chile, Italy, Germany, Kosovo, Hungary, Macedonia, Mexico, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Sweden and USA competed for this year’s title which is the fifth year in a row it has been held.

Danica Vincec Miss Photogenic

Organised by the Stecak Association, the pageant is aimed at connecting Croatians from all over the world, as well as preserving and promoting traditional Croatian culture.

On the night, singer Miroslav Skoro and vocal ensemble ‘Korijeni’ from Milwaukee in the US entertained the crowd.
