Marin Čilić into Rogers Cup Quarterfinals in Canada

World No.7 Marin Čilić has advanced through to the last 8 at the Rogers Cup in Toronto. 

Čilić moved into the Masters 1000 Canadian Open quarter-final with a straight sets win over Argentina’s Diego Schwartzman 6-3, 6-2 .

After a series of breaks the more experienced Croatian, who is the tournament’s 6th seed, took the first set 6-3.

 Čilić was in a rampant mood at the start of the second set, breaking Schwartzman twice to race out to a 4-0 lead. The Argentine tried to fight back but Čilić would take the set 6-2 and the match.

Čilić will play the winner of the Rafael Nadal and Stan Wawrinka match for a place in the last 4.
