Manchester City Lose To Velika Gorica In Croatia

Manchester City’s Elite Development Squad have not had the best of times on their first pre-season tour of Croatia, at least when it comes to results on the pitch.

The mega-wealthy English club has suffered its second defeat in a row on tour, this time at the hands of the small Velika Gorica club, a club from a town just on the fringe of the capital Zagreb. The local Croatians were too strong for their more fancied counterparts, winning 1:0 thanks to a goal by Tezak in the 52nd minute in the match played in the Istrian town of Novigrad, where Manchester City are holding their pre-season camp. Manchester City coach Patrick Vieira says that he is not too concerned with results on the pitch, but more with how his side is playing, Manchester City also lost 1:0 to Osijek during the week.
