One of the biggest events on the international chess calendar returns to the Croatian capital this summer.
The SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz Croatia 2025, part of the prestigious Grand Chess Tour, will take place in Zagreb from 1 to 6 July.
This high-stakes tournament marks the midpoint of the Grand Chess Tour and promises to deliver world-class action with a fast-paced format that showcases both strategic depth and lightning reflexes.
This year’s edition features an elite field of ten grandmasters from across the globe, including several of the most recognisable names in chess like Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Gukesh Dommaraju (India), Fabiano Caruana (USA), Nodirbek Abdusattorov (Uzbekistan), Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu (India), Alireza Firouzja (France), Wesley So (USA), Jan-Krzysztof Duda (Poland), Anish Giri (Netherlands) and Croatian Ivan Šarić.

Tournament Format
The tournament is divided into two thrilling sections: Rapid and Blitz chess.
All matches will be broadcast live with commentary on the St. Louis Chess Club’s YouTube and Twitch channels, giving fans around the world a chance to follow every move in real time.
