Lucky Escape After Train Hits Man (20)

A 20-year-old man is lucky to be alive after being hit by a train this morning in the north-western Croatian town of Novi Marof.

The man, who was sitting on the edge of the train tacks near the Novi Marof station with a group of friends at around 6am, could not get out-of-the-way of a passenger train travelling on the Zagreb-Varazdin route quicker enough as it came passing by, reports RTL television.

The man has been taken to Varazdin hospital.
