The countdown is now well and truly on for this year’s Love International in Croatia.
Now the clocks have gone forward and the sun is (kind of) shining, thoughts can fully focus on the summer and the week of pure escapism under the sun and stars at the picture-postcard village of Tisno.
The taste-making Adriatic odyssey brings some of the best DJs, producers and collectives together as one. As much as Love International is about presenting some of the best artists from their respective scenes – including everyone from DJ Harvey to Andrew Weatherall, and from Peggy Gou to Shanti Celeste and HAAi – the festival continues to embrace the next wave breaking through or challenging the established order. Part of the festival’s philosophy is to discover new names and emerging music across the week.
With this in mind, Love International is very proud to reveal three new brilliant debutants, each bringing a different approach to Tisno. Peach is one of London’s scene-stealers and her rise has been rapid, with her refreshing and infectious energetic presence creating hypnotic mind-bending selections. Then next up, hailing from Uruguay is Omar, a vinyl-inspired soul who explores techno through to electro and deeper house channels. And Budino is an Italo talent making waves, partly inspired by her parents who went to watch the legendary Beppe Loda in Italy’s clubs in the 70s; she channels these sounds and more through her sets.
Next up, self-confessed vinyl addict Wes Baggaley’s masterful eclectic sets feature house, techno, electro, funk, soul and disco. Then Dan Beaumont and Charlie Porter go back to back with their glorious high energy house and disco as part of the revered queer party Chapter 10, the celebrated and subversive session making its Love International debut, with hosting duties from A Man To Pet. Bristolian beat-maker Maxxi Soundsystem makes a welcome return to the dazzling coast, and OK Williams makes her debut.
Love International is very proud to introduce some of Croatia’s most innovative new producers and DJs who debut at this year’s festival, leading its burgeoning growth across the electronic music spectrum. First up. Ivna Ji is a Zagreb based music producer and DJ with a growing catalogue of the finest electro. She also curates the Innerspace parties in Zagreb and hosts shows on radio808. Fellow Zagreb DJ and producer Lucjia also joins her, another of the country’s rising female artists.
Further new names revealed for the summer include James Morley, Eliza Rose, Liv Ayers, Mate Kokic, Oli Silva, Rat Cat with Lawrence Klein, Bakula, Chorbika, Metz Attack: Carnero, Fabian Matesa, Tonko, El Commando and Anako, Ade Ige B2B Maz B2B Jonny Bradley and many more.
